About Allison



Allison Winsby is a Fashion and Costume Designer currently based in Oklahoma. She is a designer who creates bold and imaginative designs inspired by history, bright colors, and the world around her. She is incredibly detail oriented and intentional with her designs. Allison’s whimsical aesthetic celebrates individuality and embraces the magic of storytelling through design. Allison believes in authenticity and strives to leave a lasting impact on the community. She values creating a safe, positive, organized, and collaborative work environment.

She has earned her BFA in Theatre Design and Production with an emphasis in Costume Design/Technology from Oklahoma City University and has completed the Cirque Du Soleil Training Ground Program in Las Vegas with a focus in costumes. She has worked with companies such as Creative Studios by Norwegian Cruise Lines Holdings, Regent Seven Seas Cruises, PCPA Pacific Conservatory Theatre, Oklahoma City Ballet, Kansas City Fashion Week, Illinois Shakespeare Festival, IATSE Locals 112 and 904, and more!

Allison has been recognized for her costume designs for Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street by Broadway World and USITT and for her hair/makeup design of The Curious Incident of The Dog in the Nighttime by KCACTF. She has also had design work from her 2023 take on Mozart's The Magic Flute on display at the Oklahoma Contemporary Arts Center as a part of their 2024 Gala exhibition, A Luxe Affair.​​

​Outside of costuming, Allison enjoys traveling the world and exploring new places. Allison has currently been to 26 countries and 25 U.S. States! She also enjoys drawing, painting, and mixed media art. ​​
